Massage Therapy

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Modalities may include massage therapy, manual therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitative exercises to improve the function of the circulatory, muscular, and nervous systems. Our therapists use a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, trigger point, and relaxation with the depth and pressure appropriate to what you are comfortable with. Skillful treatment can result in pain reduction, improved tissue repair and a more complete recovery of function.

Conditions that massage therapy can treat include:

  • Back, leg and neck pain

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Chronic fatigue syndrome

  • Headaches

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Inflammatory conditions such as arthritis

  • Muscle tension and spasm

  • Pregnancy and labor support

  • Strains and sprains

  • Sport related injury and recovery

  • Whiplash

  • Tendonitis

There are numerous benefits to be achieved through regular massage therapy treatments. Whether you need to reduce muscle tension, obtain relief from chronic pain or just have a moment of relaxation, a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall well being.
