Physiotherapy

What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals who play a significant role in health promotion and treatment of injury and disease.

We combine our in-depth knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat the cause and symptoms of illness, injury or disability.

Your physiotherapy assessment and treatment involves taking a detailed client medical history and a thorough musculoskeletal and orthopaedic evaluation. Once we determine the source of your injury or pain, we can begin to implement effective treatments to best assist your recovery.

At Sparwood Chiropractic and Wellness we take a "hands-on" approach. Your time in our clinic will be spent one-on-one with the physiotherapist who may use manual therapy, joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, pain science education, intramuscular stimulation (IMS) and/or provide you with movement education and a personal home exercise program.
