Elysia Yung, BSc, RD

Elysia is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist offering nutrition counselling services to individuals and families.

Elysia grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia and moved to the Elk Valley in 2010. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition and Health at the University of British Columbia, followed by an accredited internship with Fraser Health Authority. While living in Vancouver, she worked as a clinical and outpatient dietitian, helping patients manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, digestive disorders, cancer and renal disease through medical nutrition therapy.

Elysia believes in using the power of food to optimize health and wellness, prevent and manage chronic diseases, and enhance performance in sports and exercise. She also has a passion for family nutrition. She enjoys helping families foster a positive relationship with food, and helping children to become competent, adventurous eaters. She is committed to translating evidence based practice into practical lifestyle advice for all of her clients.

When she is not in the office, you can find Elysia enjoying mountain life with her husband, Kenneth, and her two daughters, Kiana and Audrey. She has a love for the great outdoors - hiking and mountain biking in the summer; skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. She is also a lifelong yogi and a certified yoga instructor.

Elysia’s goal for her clients is to provide them with lifelong skills so that they can learn to become their own dietitian! She looks forward to changing the way people approach nutrition and guide them towards a lifetime of healthier living.

Elysia Yung, BSc, RD, is registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and a member of Dietitians of Canada.
